A superb night of tasting wine, eating some really good food, listening to a wonderful presentation by Robin Young on the Oldest Wineries in the World and visiting with friends. One of our larger crowds at this event – 38 people were there.
The creation of the wineries may be in the distant past, we had some wine from a winery that was established in 1003, but the wines from these wineries were superb. And the food that Chef Jake prepared was a good match for the wine. Several people to thank for their help in this event: Robin Young for presenting the wines, finding them and then a great discussion on the ancient wineries; Gail and Robert Parker for the Mardi Gras decorations and beads; Fred and Jo Pappas for the name tags; Marnie, Mac, Chris and Sophia for your support and help – pouring and Designated Drivers and Carl Abrahamson for pouring. Enjoy these photos of the evening. Left Click any of them to see them enlarged. And as a Final Note: I did not get photos of the Creme Brule nor the Fried Okra. Both were extremely good. Cheers!
