I guess that everything has their season and one of Idaho’s great winery’s has had theirs. Dick Dickstein, Winemaker at Parma Ridge Vineyards in Parma, ID., told us today that he has sold the house and property and he will be closing the doors to the winery this April. In fact, if you would like to purchase winery equipment and maybe some wines that are in stock at a 50% savings, then starting Saturday April 6, 2013 and running 1 week, you can get a very good price on his wines. The doors open each day at 12 noon and close at 5:00pm. Everything must go!! You can get more information at Parma Ridge Vineyards web site. And for even more information contact them at Parma Ridge Vineyards, 24509 Rudd Road, Parma, ID 83660. (208) 722-6885
Some really awesome wines for you to purchase are the 2011 Estate Chardonnay, 2010 Viognier, 2009 Merlot, 2010 Syrah and the fantastic 2010 Proprietor’s Reserve Merlot. You will also be able to buy the 2010 Viognier, the 2010 Merlot and the 2010 Syrah in 375ml bottles. At these prices, and because the wines will no longer be available, you want to buy in case lots and lay these wines down. (That’s my opinion!) I am sure Dick will sell you a single bottle, but, again, because of the HUGE savings he is offering, I would buy, at least, in the split case size or, best buy, in case lots. On a rating scale of , the wines listed are all or ; the being the 2010 Proprietor’s Reserve Merlot.
At any rate, plan to stop by and wish Dick and his wife a great retirement and let him know we will miss his wine making talents and his pleasant smile. Cheers, Dick! Here’s one for you. Good Luck!

When folks Google “Parma Ridge” this website comes up as the contact for Parma Ridge Vineyards and people think we are closed. We just opened our tasting room with regular hours 12-5pm Fri-Sun. My husband, Storm Hodge, the winemaker, is also a chef and is making lunch entrees out here. A wonderful place to Spend time. Our website is www.parmaridgewineandspirits.com. Thanks for your help!
