On October 11, the Treasure Valley Wine Society held their October tasting. Wines from the Prosser, Washington area were showcased. (The photo to the left are flowers that were in the entryway. Beautiful!) There were about 30 people who attended the tasting. Chef Jake did another great job in preparing the food, as you can see from these photos. I will list the wines that were served from the ones I most liked to the least liked. Enjoy and hope to see you at the next tasting! There is a problem with the date so stay posted here for any news. I will list the wines we had at the tasting from the one that I most liked, to the least. This is only my opinion.
- 2009 Amitage Red Blend Columbia Valley. Columbia-Crest Grand Estates
- 2011 Snoqualmie Columbia Valley Organic Riesling
- 2010 Airfield Estates Tempranillo
- Three Muses Washington Ruby Port
- 2011 Terroir Sangiovese Rosato
Remember – This is only my opinion. The Rosato was just too light weight for me and the Ruby Port was missing that “raisin” essence. The Tempranillo was good; the Riesling was a good wine and one I would buy. The Red Blend was by far the best of the evening. Enjoy!
